Getting Started with Your Yealink T57W Desk Phone

Overview

Welcome to your Yealink T57W! This guide covers everything you need to know about your touchscreen desk phone.


Key Buttons at a Glance

  • Touch Screen — tap to navigate calls, contacts and menus
  • BLF Keys — light up to show the status of other phones in your office
  • HOLD / TRANSFER / VOICEMAIL — your main call management buttons
  • Headset & Speakerphone — choose your audio preference
  • Mute — silences your microphone; glows red when active
  • Volume — adjusts the active audio source

Making & Receiving Calls

To place a call:

  1. Lift the handset or press the speakerphone button
  2. Dial the number
  3. Press the Send softkey on screen

To answer a call: Lift the handset or press the flashing green line key

To put a call on hold: Press the Hold button — press it again to resume

To mute yourself: Press the Mute button during a call — press again to unmute


Transferring a Call

Blind Transfer (sends the call straight through)

  1. Press the recipient's green BLF button on the side of the screen
  2. Once ringing starts, you can hang up

Attended Transfer (announce the call first)

  1. Press the recipient's green BLF button
  2. Speak to them — your caller is on hold throughout
  3. When ready, hang up and the call connects automatically

Hosting a Conference Call

  1. Call the first person and get them on the line
  2. Press the Conference softkey — Person 1 is placed on hold
  3. Dial the second person and wait for them to answer
  4. Press Conference again — everyone is now connected

Checking Your Voicemail

  1. Press the dedicated Voicemail button on the side of the screen
  2. Follow the audio prompts to listen to your messages
